Annual General Meeting of the Hungarian-Japanese Economic Club

The annual general meeting of the Hungarian-Japanese Economic Club took place on March 31, 2025, with PEMÜ Műanyagipari Zrt. represented by President and CEO Mrs. Elvira Hajdárné Molnár and Deputy CEO Mrs. Lilla Udvarosné Hajdár.

Before the official agenda, participants had the opportunity to hold discussions with H.E. Anna Aulner-Bálint, Hungary’s Ambassador to Tokyo. In addition to the Club members, the conversation also included Ms. Martina Almási, Director at the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA).

Ambassador Aulner-Bálint emphasized the significance of the ongoing paradigm shift in Hungarian-Japanese relations. She shared that in addition to promoting traditional Hungarian products, there is a growing focus on knowledge-based cooperation and the presentation of innovative and creative business ideas to the Japanese market. The soft diplomacy approach, which characterizes the Club’s activities, also plays an important role in the work of the Embassy.

As a current topic, Club members discussed the upcoming Osaka Kansai EXPO, where the Hungarian-Japanese Economic Club will have an exceptional opportunity to showcase itself for two full days within the Hungarian National Pavilion. Numerous Hungarian companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, will also present their new business ideas at the event.
