In the framework of the wide-ranging cooperation between the Budapest University of Technology and Economics and PEMÜ Plastic Processing Co. Ltd. over several decades, the company hosted a professional study visit for students of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the University.
On 23 November 2022, the students of the university led by Dr. Zoltán Demjén, had the opportunity to learn about the practical application of plastics processing technologies in the plants of PEMÜ Zrt. They saw injection moulding, extrusion, pressing, moulding and assembly processes. According to the feedback from the students, the automated production cells for polyurethane foaming attracted the most interest. In addition to robotised and automated production technologies, the biggest innovations were digitalisation developments. The programme gave the students an insight into the operation of a complete integrated system developed in-house, in addition to simultaneous technological data processing.
