The HIPA Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency held its 11th automotive sector conference on May 13, 2025, at the Várkert Bazár.
In his opening speech, István Joó, Government Commissioner and CEO of the HIPA Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency, emphasized that for 11 years, Hungarian economic diplomacy has been competing in the international race to acquire vehicle industry capacities. As a result of government efforts, the country will soon be capable of producing more than one million cars annually. The most important strategic goal currently is to definitively place Hungarian vehicle manufacturing on the global innovation map of the sector. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, highlighted that despite global difficulties, the automotive sector in Hungary has remained successful and continues to be one of the driving forces of the economy. Within a panel discussion, the leaders of Hungarian car manufacturers discussed the current challenges of the sector. PEMÜ Műanyagipari Zrt. was represented at the event by Elvira Hajdárné Molnár, Chairperson and CEO, and Lilla Udvarosné Hajdár, Deputy CEO.
