The annual Retirees’ Gathering organized by PEMÜ Zrt. was held again this year on October 4, 2025.
A great number of retired colleagues attended the event, where tables filled with delicious food awaited them upon arrival.
The following summary was written by Rita Tóthné László:
“If it’s the first Saturday of October, then it must be the PEMÜ Retirees’ Gathering, because President and CEO Mrs. Elvira Hajdárné Molnár keeps her word and organizes this event every year — a pleasant, cheerful afternoon filled with entertainment. Of course, the good food, drinks, and thoughtful gifts are never missing either.
After her customary kind and respectful welcome, the President and CEO shared some important updates with the attendees:
‘This year, PEMÜ celebrates its 65th anniversary, and we believe that we are still only at the beginning of our journey. We hope to remain among the few Hungarian companies that successfully meet the challenges of the coming decades.
Last year was an excellent one; this year began with some difficulties, but the situation has improved considerably, and we are now looking ahead with optimism.
Despite the challenges — or perhaps because of them — we have stayed true to our traditions. We have also had notable achievements in the first half of the year: our solar power plant has started operation and has performed beyond expectations, significantly reducing our energy costs. In March, our new 2000-ton injection molding machine arrived, bringing our total in this category to six large machines.
In the second half of the year, the 240-liter waste bin production project was relaunched, continuing last year’s manufacturing. Gradually, PEMÜ-produced 120- and 240-liter bins can now be found in almost every region.
Our Training Workshop has also been very successful — this September, more than 120 students began their dual education in our well-equipped facilities.
As everyone knows, research and development is our passion. We have therefore submitted another grant application to continue our work in material and product innovation.
However, today is not about work — it’s about spending a joyful, carefree day together, reminiscing about our shared years. Every year, I thank you for your hard work at PEMÜ, for the traditions you’ve passed on, and for the mindset that encourages us to always look ahead while honoring our past.
As a token of appreciation, we would like to give you a beautiful PEMÜ product today — something that will help you enjoy restful sleep, and that we hope will remind you of us with the same warmth with which we offer it.
As is our tradition, we have also prepared a little musical entertainment for you, performed by the Maya Trio — please welcome them with love.
